Radom
- is an ideal place for both foreign and domestic investors. In the recent period the
number of investors has been steadily rising. In our survey we are discussing the most important

Why Radom is an attractive place for investors?
Localization
Radom is the biggest city in the fork between the Vistula and Pilica Rivers. It?s at the crossroad
of three major international roads: E77 Gdansk-Warsaw-Krakow-the Czech Republic (the future express
road S7) and E-371 Radom-Rzeszow-Slovakia and road 12, the future express road S12 between Berlin and Kiev.
Radom is also a major railroad intersection for such cities as Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow and Lublin. It
is connected to the Central Railroad Center at Idzikowice and to the Poznan-Warsaw-Terespol lines
through the Center at Deblin.
Radom has an airport of good technical parameters, from which a regular passenger traffic and a
Cargo terminal is about to be initiated.
Administration and Finance
Radom is a city with many regional and nation-wide institutions - such as Regional Administration
of State Forests, Masovia Treasury Office, Masovia Police Command, Polish Electrical Network 'East', Regional Court Office and many others.

It makes sense to invest in Radom
The Radom City Office is one of the few such offices in Poland with an ISO certificate.
In 2005 it was also awarded a certificate for the best self-government by the 'Rzeczpospolita'
newspaper. In 2005 it was also awarded a 'Golden Place for New Businesses' certificate.
Localizations for Investments
A number of locations for investment projects have already been prepared. Many of them are located
within a 'Special Economic Zone'. The City Office is providing detail information in this regard.
Academic Education in Radom
There are about a dozen of higher learning schools and other scholarly institutions. The oldest
one is the Radom University of Technology that specializes in such unique areas as shoe technology,
hide scanning technology and other.
Environmental conditions
Economic development in Radom is going hand in hand with due care for environmental conditions.
The City is running a pilot program in rational water usage. There is a rational waste management
program, as well as recycling and recovery biogases for electric power, which has been financed in
part by NFOS. In 2006 there is under construction a plant for the utilization of biological waste,
co-financed with ISPA funds. The city is actively pursuing further development of green walking and
bicycling routes.
